“In reviewing with Baltusrol Golf Club the projected goals in renovating one of America’s most prestigious golf clubs, JBD researched systems that could provide weather-tight enclosure for a four-season environment. The room was to be used specifically for member functions and dining, so it needed to provide the best views in the clubhouse. The design of the wall system and ease of opening and closing the wall by the staff members became the deciding factor in the selection of the system. The wall system has been in operation for six months, and the club is extremely satisfied with the functionality and added amenity it provides to the room.”

Winter on Lake Erie is brutal. Researching products, I was drawn to NanaWall's German engineering and construction. Our goal was a 3 season room, we achieved an air tight 4 season room. Last year these walls passed another test. Hail and 60mph winds left homes along this lake front with severe window damage. These NANA walls came through without a scratch. I am very pleased. The lake front design required a room from which one could appreciate the shoreline panorama and, weather permitting, remove the walls to enjoy the sounds and breezes. The walls also had to withstand the high winds and driving rain, sleet and snow common to a northern, lake front setting. After much research, we found Nana Wall to be our only choice. The easy operability and flush mount track system made for a truedisappearing wall. Nana's tech support and accurate details made our work as architects all that much easier.

We were designing a home that was meant to be about the local environment , but it had to function fundamentally WITHIN that environment, so the breaking down of the threshold from inside and outside was key to concept of the house. We needed the interior of the home of the large exterior deck to flow seamlessly from one into the other, but we wanted that sense of spatial connection without compromising any of the thermal performance, especially given the level of LEED certification that we were after. The Nana wall enabled us to blend outside and in effortlessly as well as give out clients the ease and access to really USE the moveable wall day-in and day-out. The wall doesn't open solely for parities and events, it opens for breakfast, they use the wall as part of their daily life and do so multiple times throughout the day. Despite the size and span of the system, the wall is treated like any other door in the house, to be open and closed and used as a simple a beautiful functional part of the house.
